Despite not being much of a Gackt fan at all anymore, I decided to watch this movie AND IT WAS AMAZING. I loved everything about it. The theatre-style of the sets, the different fight sequences (samurai duels, barfights, a circus, etc), the characters...
I have to say, Gackt was really, really great in this movie. He kicked some major ass as Yoshi. He and the Drifter (and the bartender) made an awesome team. I'm kind of hoping there might be a sequel of some kind one day, with the Drifter and Yoshi teaming up again to take down all the other crime lords.

It's National Book Week. The rules: Grab the closest book to you. Go to page 56. Copy the 5th sentence as your status. Don't mention the book. Post these rules as part of your post.

Zoe was also the vocal coach for the Marias (and later the Josephs, too) and her style of teaching and developing them was fairly similar to mine.

Recently watched "Repo! The Genetic Opera" for the first time. It's a horror-type musical film.

Summary from IMDb:
In the year 2056 - the not so distant future - an epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet. Out of the tragedy, a savior emerges: GeneCo, a biotech company that offers organ transplants, for a price. Those who miss their payments are scheduled for repossession and hunted by villainous Repo Men. In a world where surgery addicts are hooked on painkilling drugs and murder is sanctioned by law, a sheltered young girl searches for the cure to her own rare disease as well as information about her family's mysterious history. After being sucked into the haunting world of GeneCo, she is unable to turn back, as all of her questions will be answered at the wildly anticipated spectacular event: The Genetic Opera.

I love musicals (some of my favorites being Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Moulin Rouge...) and I love horror movies, so putting these two movie types together was a sure win/win situation for me. It did not disappoint. I thought the movie was brilliant. A little too gore-y for my liking at some parts, but I'm glad I looked past that and made it through the movie. It was so worth it!

Also, Graverobber is sexy as fuck. Mmm.

Chameleon Circuit: Still Got Legs

July 17th, 2011 (03:39 pm)

tracklistCollapse )

Been listening to Chameleon Circuit's new album "Still Got Legs" all day. It is fantastic! There isn't a song on this album that I don't like, which is very rare for me. My favorites are definitely "Travelling Man", "The Sound of Drums", and "The Doctor Is Dying".
